I am an experienced communications professional specialising in research engagement. My background in research means I have an in-depth understanding of research culture and process, as well as over a decade of experience working with individuals and organisations to communicate ideas and enhance engagement.
During this time, I have worked at a strategic planning level, right through to implementation across a wide range of disciplines, with academics and professionals on projects of all sizes, from individual to large-scale international consortiums. For a number of years, I was responsible for managing the research communications portfolio for a research-intensive university. I also have experience in public engagement, including setting up and managing a science festival, as well as the curation of several exhibitions.
I am particularly interested in the potential for increasing research impact through enhancing engagement.
